I try to make a point to write at least 30 minutes every single day.

  • Journals
  • Blogs (on Medium usually)
  • Short stories
  • Ideas for books and short stories

Practice Makes Perfect

The more you practice your writing the better you’ll become at the craft. Also, writing allows you to get your thoughts organized and out of your head. Doing this allows you to be more present through the day as well as more focused and collected.

Write When you Wake up

The best time to write if you’re doing it once daily is when you wake up. This is typically my favorite time to write also.

  1. Brush my teeth
  2. Writing for 30 minutes at least
  3. Short workout for about 5–15 minutes (pullups, situps, pushups)
  4. Shower
  5. Get dressed
  6. Start work

Start Writing Daily

It doesn’t matter if you want to be an author, enjoy writing, or just want a good practice to help you wake up in the morning. This will work for you no matter what you want it for so give it a try.
